So last night I was catching up on my Time magazines and stumbled across a picture of Tom DeLay toking up on a Big Cuban. It was an article entitled "When Tom Met Jack." (subscription req'd) It's about the cozying up of Tom DeLay and some lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Call me dumb, but I spend little of my attention focusing on the subtleties of Politics. (I didn't even know what position DeLay held prior to reading the article...) It was the smug picture of him and his cigar that caught my interest. If you do nothing else today, pick up a copy, pay for the online subscription, lie, cheat, or steal. It's definitely worth reading, and for me, a shocker.
Washington is just plain gross.
If you do steal a copy of the magazine, I promise you'll feel better about yourself after you read it. DeLay leads by example, letting us all know that it's ok to steal for the sake of entertainment.
Look at me blogging. I'm making an effort to post something daily. We'll see.

...shows you how unpolitically minded I am... When I read "When Tom met Jack", I immediately thought of Dina's birthday party.
C'mon - give me some props for that headline. That was so Reporter!
What bugs you most about that picture? The cigar?
I guess it's the look on his face, especially after reading the article.
But if I think about it, I hate cigars too. I don't like the smell of them at all when they're being smoked. Seems pretty ridiculous too. If I still smoked and had to choose, I'd take a good Marlboro any day.
Finally read the article. Sounds like old school politics. Betcha Delay's far from the only one doing that bullshit.
Yep, cigarettes over cigars for me, too.
But maybe a big fat dip over either one of 'em...
