Finally, the annual week vacation to the only cool place in South Florida. Lot's of family history on the island - we've been going there for 20 years now. Paula and I got married on the beach there three years ago (technically on Captiva). Anxious to see how the October hurricane (Charlie wasn't it?) changed the landscape. Sanibel is a tropical sanctuary, protecting all sorts of wildlife and greenery, making it more like a tropical south pacific island than the typical Ohio-with-beaches. No wonder they hate us Snowbirds. The only downside I see, is that it's supposed to be 75 in Chitown for the next week. There's definitely a small part of me that would like it to be 30 and rainy...
Read, sun, swim, sleep, rinse, repeat. Looking forward to those directions.
