Frankensteinfurt

Landed yesterday, working all day today and tomorrow. I'm on the plane home on Thursday, and back on one next Wednesday. The good news, is the Wednesday plane takes me to paradise. We're headed back to Kauai for 8 days.

Frankfurt is sort of just "city." I definitely feel like I'm in Germany, but there's not that much to report. You can definitely tell, however, that tall people live here. Wasn't it The Huns? The doorways are for giants, I need a small stepstool to use the sink, and could someone please hoist me up? I need to use the toilet.

Our cab driver on the way to the hotel was about 6' 6". He grabbed our luggage and tossed it into his Mercedes taxi as if all the bags were full of crumbled up paper. As he dropped us off, two ex-NFL'ers wisked us into the hotel with our bags effortlessly. Both ducked through the doorway.

I definitely feel like I might've climbed the beanstalk to get here.

It's the beer. Actually, they send everyone who is 6 ft. or shorter to Poland.

How 'bout taking your next trip with Gulliver to the land of the Lulliputians? Then you will be the giant!

Can't wait to see you all this weekend.

Where do you go in Kauai? Sarah and I went there for our honeymoon. Fantastic hiking.

We stayed in Poipou last year, and are doing the same this year. It's a grantham-resorts.com place - called the Nihi Kai. We loved it! We did almost everything but hiking, but I'm planning on bringing some good shoes/boots to head up to the north side of the island.

Check out these photos from last year.

Where did you guys stay?

We stayed for a few days in a house in Kekaha, and went to a really great, isolated stretch of beach at the far south end of the island where it starts to turn back up and the road stops. And we also stayed in an in-law in some guy's house outside of Hanalei.
