Another week, another trip. Off to NYC tomorrow, beginning another project that will have me on European soil again next week. How many days til Hawaii? 25! For now, it's a shot of one of my least favorite cities on approach to La Guardia. Took this picture 2 weeks ago. I think of New York the same way people think about the saying "if a tree falls in the woods..." It's like, "If I fall in NYC, will anyone notice?"
If the shitty cab ride to O'Hare tomorrow at 6am doesn't make me sick, surely the NY taxi to the hotel will. Anyhoo, I just attacked my wife for being Debbie Downer on her blog, so surely I'm a hipocrite. Therefore I say Happy Monday to all six of you. Let's be happy we woke up today, and let's all plan to do the same tomorrow, and the next day, and the next one after that... As my Dad has taken to the saying, "It's better than the alternative."

You can always go with the "look around you to see the people who really have problems" philosophy, 'cause there are so many of them. We are all blessed in so many ways.
Have a safe trip, and I will see you Thursday night, I hope, or if not then for sure on Sunday.
I've got a couple of books for you to read that will just make you think you are the most fortunate man alive. Try reading, "A Fine Balance" or "A Sunday At The Pool in Kagali." Right after they castrate all the men, they sell them into slave labor. And, the brothers are still happy just to wake up each day to smell the dawn. If it makes you feel any better, I hate NYC too!

Hey Roma,
We will be in the city this weekend also. We are staying at Dina's. Maybe we can all get together for breakfast on Sunday.

Diane, sounds like a great get together, but now we are not coming to Chicago. Both kiddies are sick, especially CJ, so we will do it another time. Sorry we will miss you and Jack, but have fun in the Windy City!
Let us know when you plan to be in town and we can zip over! Hope the kids will be well again, soon.
Diane
