I pilfered this image from a gallery from my sister-in-law of young Mr. Hess. We're back to the grind already after the holidays, but we're trying to maintain the smile and enthusiasm that the young charmer seems to carry in this shot. My camera is loaded with images over the past few weeks so expect more soon.
Hope you had a Happy New Year.

TOUSOU TOUSOU! I can just imagine all of these kids when they get older. They could rule the world. But what else can you expect from such excellent human beings.
Comfort yourself with the thought that even this beautiful, happy, enthusiastic child has moments of misery, frustration and anger, but what makes children so special is that they can move back to the happy moments much more quickly than most of us. This is something we need to relearn from our wee ones.
...that is why Jack and I occasionally revert to 12 (Jack) and 10 (me). We have learned that life is too short to be miserable and angry. We are silly and laugh a lot. One of his favorite games is to wake up in the morning, creep down the hall and through the kitchen and try to trick the dogs into thinking that he's a big weird creature (not too far of an exaggeration especially with his teeth out)stalking through the house. Trudy is on to his trick and Grace gets all snuffily and wiggily and gives him a talking to (Woowooo-oooo!).
Just think what he'll do when the grandbabies are old enough to appreciate his silliness.
