Day 4/5 - London

After a less than glorious Memorial Day Weekend, I stapled my brain back together, and hopped on the next leg of this never-ending international project I've been working on. Remind me to cut up and burn my passport when I get home. If you could please, take out a fresh sheet of paper and scribble in a circle as fast as you can for five minutes. Ok, now step back, squint your eyes. What does it look like? If you said it looks like a big pile of shit, then you'd be thinking exactly how my brain feels as I try to describe it. And this is only DAY 2 of my round-the-world tour!

My tw0-day marathon began yesterday at O'Hare with the American Airline Ball-Bag telling me my Business Class upgrade hadn't gone through and I'd be sitting in the middle in row 89J. A big subliminal "go fuck yourself", then a quick 3-way conference call on my cell with my boss in London and AA's Platinum desk in Dallas landed me back in 9A, where I'd been confirmed for weeks. Look Ball-bag, don't mess with me and my seat. I landed at Heathrow missing the the last express train into town at midnight, so $120 later, I was at the hotel, eating Ambien like popcorn and listening to the rain as I sunk deep into my mattress.

From there it was another sixteen hour day, filming, filming, and more filming. Dinner at Harvey Nicks and a little email and we'll call it a day. We'll be filming 3 2-hour interviews at peoples flat's tomorrow, so it should be interesting!

Seacrest out.

You're a mess and your poor wife is struggling with all her family difficulties - I'm thinking of both of you, and saying a few prayers too. Glad the upgrade thing worked out - and hope you are feeling better than when I last talked to you.

Geez, Casey, your post is like a massive Mom-alarm, a real tizzy-inducer. Careful! Try this next time:

"The flight was lovely, and I snacked on healthy granola and a vegetable platter. I also had a protein bar and a multivitamin, not to mention plenty of water. I arrived well-rested, meditated, and then fell into a deep sleep. So far, so good!"

yeah - that's it..lots and lots of water & "enough" sleep. The English are notorious for putting in their time at the pub 'til early in the a.m. Don't fall for it. It would be strictly amateur night for you.

Sounds like you will be OK.

Paula has lots of support from her sisters. It's a good opportunity to really think deeply about stuff. She, actually, is a pretty successful survivor. She will be OK, too.
