Here's another shot of Barcelona from the balcony of the facility we were working in. I stepped out for a break and snapped this before the rain moved in. This photo seems pretty cool to me. I like the mix of shapes and colors. The oddly placed fence balances the slope of the moutain on the opposite side. You don't see a pink and blue sky very often either. Let's just leave it at at that.

Welcome back, seƱor! As always, your travel photos are most excellent.
Thanks - it was a tougher trip than the last, so while I didn't think I was that tired, last night and this morning it has started to grab hold. I'd like to go home and hit the couch and spend a day reading books.
I'm really loving my new camera, and am getting better at shooting too. I shot that photo in the RAW mode which is much better than the JPEG options. It seems to me that shooting is only about a quarter of the equation, the more important part is what you can do with Photoshop... That part I'm still learning.
The RAW mode - do you get TIFs from that?
Actually PhotoShop loves TIFs the best.
I would say that you do pretty well in Photoshop.
Don't know about the RAW mode, the TIF's or Photoshop, but I can sure appreciate the fine and interesting quality of the shot. You do good work, Casey.
Naw...it's still the taking...composing, setting it up and most important being there and having the idea of what you want...the after-alterations are for technicians...not creators...I like both shots from you trip...still think a fascinating aspect of your travel is signage...it varies so widely around the world... haven't shot in raw yet...that really is only advantageous for large blowups...jpeg stuff is fine for emailing et al. cheers, Dad
